RE: How old are these bucks?
The first one is a 1 1/2 and the second one is a 2 1/2. The 2 1/2 is about where he should be for your area, the 1 1/2 is how they all should be, but that just isn't the case. I believe that when the buck/doe ratio starts getting out of wack and you have a bunch of late born fawns come into heat later in the season, after the most mature bucks have shed their antlers, inferior bucks breed those fawns and they start producing small racked bucks like spikes and forks.
