So you're in Los Anchorage. Sorry about your luck. There's hunting to be done around there, just depends on what you're after. You can apply for sheep tags in Unit 14 and hunt out of your back door if you're drawn. Same thing for the Fort Rich moose permits. You missed out on the winter draw for this year, but you can still apply for the spring draw. You can hunt waterfowl in the Anchorage Coastal Wildlife Refuge or out in the Palmer Hay Flats. You can bait black bears up the Mat-Su or down on the Kenai. You can get a charter for black-tailed deer out of Whittier or Seward. Lots of options. Just depends on what you want to hunt, what your budget is, and how much work you want to put into it.

As far as the regs be sure you understand the definitions portion listed in the back. That's what everything refers to so make sure you know the finer details of the wording. They're not that hard to differentiate though. If you have questions just ask.
