Default RE: Passing on a shot.

ORIGINAL: AP deer hunter

A rifle will take a deer down at most angles as long as you can see the vitals. Neck shot is good as long as your gun is steady. Butt shot, no way. Oh, Zrex, I'm from texas and there is a reason they call it the "texas heart shot" But man live life and don't take everything personally. Everywhere on this earth you will find people like that. But do not accuse an entire section of the country! Some people in the North, South, West, East, all the combinations in between, will all take a bad shot. Be proud of your roots, don't be stereotypical.
The north or ( yank) comments are only in fun. just a little poking, a way to get this thread jumping.
But I really do see a trend, guys up north like big big guns, down south or here in Texas espicially, I see a lot of smaller calibers, down to the 22-250 , 222, 223 being used. I have never disscused marginal or room for error shots, until i got on this board. Seems a lot of people here will take any shot because they are using a 30-06 or whatever. It's always brought up, room for error or marginal shot placement.
thats how it seems anyway.
What ever happened to " nah I didnt have a good shot" Ill see him again.
