Hunting in Wyoming for the disabled:
I don't know how most states are, but Wyoming has addressed the disabled hunter by implementing regulations that make it much easier, and therefore more attractive, to hunt here.
For instance, a Qualified disabled person can legally hunt from a stationary vehicle, except aircraft, for any big or trophy game animal. Birds, small game included. That could be a pickup, ATV, or whatever. Can't shoot from or accross a road though.
In 2003 our legislation also passed this regulation:
""Disabled hunters will get an assist with “disabled hunter companion permits.” A person with this free permit can kill and retrieve an animal that a disabled hunter has wounded. ""
So a companion can assist in the harvesting of your game.
I'd like to see more outfitters "specialize" or at least offer some kind of hunt for the disabled.
