I agree with Smokeyghost, it's the getting close. I have yet to take a deer, but I have no interest in what I see on a lot of hunting shows. These guys go to a ranch, set up in a shoothouse 200 yds from an open foodplot and pop a deer at long range. That holds no interest for me. Finding the spot to intercept deer at less than 30 yds, and even if you do, throwing scent control and arrow placement into the mix. That is what fascinates me! Plus it's so much quieter and less crowded. There's nothing like it.
