oh my shoulder when i see 100 or 110 grs of 2f, ouch. i HATE recoil.can i ask why would you need so much powder if your shooting is only 100 yds with flintlock on whitetail deer. 80 grs of 2fis enough to take any whitetail deer ,been doing it for 40 years now and most of my ,MOST accurate groups with conicals were always around 80 gr area anyhow. secret to using a flintlock is being able to hold after shot without flinching and squeeze the trigger.with recoil and not a lot of practice, you are going to flinch.most ,including me ,shoot much better without the recoil.i tried heavy loads years ago, my groups opened up and kick was terrible.i hated it and still do to this day. i see others at range almost closing their eyes waiting for kick and noise out barrel. they flinch all over.you know what, i have been seeing it for 40 years too, they just keep loading guns to max,it nevers ends but its not nice to see target after they shoot.bullets all over place.take care.
