I was out there late October & I was pretty disappointed due to the fact that the only decent deer we saw were on private land. I understand that we went a couple weeks after the season opener & there may have been quite a bit of pressure. It seemed that we only saw bucks (spikes & forkies) coming out at night (more than an hr after sundown) and leaving the fields while it was still dark. Also, I would say that 80% of the deer we saw were whitetail....are they taking over the west or what? Anyhow for future reference, can anyone advise the best way to hunt that region?
