If you don't like the accubrake you can remove it. You should have gotten a little thread protector in a bag in the box. This is so you can remove the brake and install this cap to protect the threads.

If you didn't get this with your gun go back to the shop them to remove the brake and install the thread protector.

The only rifles that have the accubrake permanantly installed are the 30-378 and the 338-378, 378, 416 and 460.
