First off I was mistaken..there is holbrook campgound located in a-16(a muzzleloader, bow, slug gun area).Hoovey pointed that out in his post.I had forgotten all about it.
-When you go hunting all you do is call the automated system..follow the promts, and sign in an area.If you stayed at a hotel..then you just drive through one of those main gates on the major roads I was talking about..show them your liscense, and go to your area. You don't go to the check station like they did in the old days..
-If you kill a deer/hog on Sat/SUn you have to sign it on your harvest card, and if it is a deer your state liscense then take it to the check station. If you shoot a deer/hog on Mon-Fri just sign it on your Ft.Stewart harvest card,If it is a deer also sign it on your state liscense, and go clean it..but if your traveling I guess you will need to clean it up at the check station anyways. You might want to bring a bucket to put guts in,but there is running water, and a place to hang the deer/hog and clean them. You don't call kills in just sign them on your harvest card,or if it is a deer state liscense.
-Yes if your phone has trouble go to the check station, and sign the sign out sheet, and put it in the drop box. They will explain all the procedure to you.I may be going into to much depth.[8D]
-As far as your hunters safety card..At your age in Ga,you don't need to have one to buy your state liscense, but I would double check with pass and permit before I come, and buy the hunting pass. They can be rather strict, and won't bend any rules.Did you see their site...You can call them and they can help answer anything.
