RE: .30-06 Remington Accelerator 55 grain
"The biggest resistance to them by policeis that since they are sabotted, there is no rifling on the bullet so they can't be traced"
A few of you guys seem to think the same on this but honestly, trace a bullet by the rifling grooves on the bullet? And compare the rifling grooves you get to what? Plug them into the non existant database of rifle tracing marks? Anyone here have a rifle whose rifling imprints are on file with the FB* or AT*?(Too much CSI). Could it be remington quit making them cuz they just don't sell well and remington realized they would rather sell a new rifle than a new box of shells since the kinda guy who hunts predators or varmints regularly is the kinda guy who will shell out for a dedicated varmint caliber rifle?take care.
P.S If you know of actual use for the rifling marks please post, I would love to hear about it. Just seems crazy with +300 million guns in this country that someone has them all cataloged and ready for "tracing".
