Kids in the woods.....What to do?
I have been hunting on 15 acres that lays to the side of an established country neighborhood. Every house has at least an acre, and many have more than that. I go out my back door, step over my back fence and I have about a half mile to the "Creek" (it's really a small river) and there are homesites not within hearing (and sometimes I can see the car lights when I am in my stands before dawn) I was in one of my stands yesterday, and I could hear some kids playing around in the woods over toward my other stand. I waited about an hour, and when I could hear a lot of commotion and saw some tree branches breaking and shaking in that direction, I walked over there and told them that probly shouldn't be out there. The were not far from my stand, but they hadn't mesed with it. I pointed out to the kids that I could easily discern between a child and a deer, so they had nothing to worry about from me, and I also said to them that it wasn't my land ( I have permission to hunt) so I really couldn't tell them not to be there. I said have a good day, and left it at that. I didn't want to scare them, but mostly I just wanted them to leave so they didn't scare off the deer. How do you guys handle that?
