Ok, so. I found 40 wooded acres for sale for the price of $17,000...in other words dirt cheap and in my budget. I've contacted the land owner and am going out tomorrow to check out the land. The one minor set back is that it is landlocked by private land and i would need to secure permission to cross certain boundaries to get to the land.

i do have a question though. 40 acres will suffice for whitetail/small game/varmit hunting right? Is it large enough to be doing drives and to be getting in and out of stands and walking back to the camper without disturbing deer, or are they going to hear you from across the property? thanks guys! im veryinterested in this and i think it might just work out!
