The Tribute is absolutely dead at the shot... I mean... dead.
For another seven or eight feet per second, you can have the Allegiance with ever-the-slightest shock at the moment of truth. As I am about to place an order my first Bowtech, I can't resist the lure of that speed. I know I can get whatever shock there is out by the time I'm done adding a first-rate stabilizer and a few other goodies.
I'm having lusty thoughts just imagining a hunting-weight arrow zipping towards a whitetail at 300 fps+!
Depends on what you're looking for: If you want probably the sweetest-shooting bow that any manufacturer has ever brought to market, go with the Trib. If you want even more speed with just the slightest bit of recoil that will probably be gone by the time you add all the accessories to it anyway, go with the Allegiance!
Tough choice!
EDIT AFTER READING YOUR OTHER THREAD:
This is taken from BowTech's own site: Something to think about...
Pound for pound, inch for inch, the new Equalizer is the fastest bow in the BowTech line-up reaching top speed of 302 fps with a 26 1/2" draw at 60 pounds. That is equivalent to an IBO speed rating of 350 fps!
Uh, I know which way I'd be leaning if I were you...
