I dropped the kisser button a few months ago and did not see a drop in accuracy, in fact I think it improved.
I anchor with the knucle of my index fingure under my ear at the jaw bone, I make sure the string istouching the middle of my nose and the sight itis centered in the peep.
Seems to work well for me
