Rwire
Get it. It is a great gun. I love mine and my hunting partner purchased one last week. I don't shoot game at this range but I had no problem putting 3 shots on a 8 inch pie plate at 600 yards. Also did a number on a pumpkin at that range. You won't be disappointed. It does have a few drawbacks like any gun.
1. I hope you reload, ammo can be expensive. Cabelas has 100 brass for 180 bucks. To purchase ammo cost approx $4 per round. I have crunched the numbers and can reload for about $2.10- $2.20.
2. I reccomend using the muzzle brake with ear protection at the range and in the field. It reduces recoil to the kick of a .243. I use QB2's for hearing protection. They cost about 8 bucks and are easy to use. I use these when I fire any rifle.

3. It is a very accurate gun. Don't mess with the 180 gr bullets. Get up to the 225gr or 220gr. This is where it outshines the other 300's. It has the powder capacity to push that big bullet at great speeds and distances.
I own one and have no remorse. I am not looking to overkill an animal or shoot at ranges I have no business shooting at. I just like the gun. Someday I will be a good enough shot to shoot at 500 yards who knows, hopefully I won't need to.
Just my experience owning one and hope it helps.
