RE: the bow.

YOu should let Bowtech know about that dealer.

I'm not sure what model you bought, but if you ahve a Winners Choice string, they have a warranty, even on servings. You should contact them (their warranty.contact information is at the front of the Bowtech manual that came with your bow). Most other factory strings are not that great unfortunately. Your problem w/ the center seving is not rare sadly, and no company guarantees them.

As far as your limb goes..yeah that sucks..but unofrtunately taht happens...I had my BKII's limb smashed during shipping. At my local dealer I've pointed out a few bows that had limb problems right out of the box. Sometimes the dealers are just so busy they don't look at anything.
