The right thing to do!
I have a friend that did the right thing and was rewarded for it.
While out hunting for turkeys here in KS, my friend stumbled accross a wounded deer that looked like it had been shot with an illegal caliber ie .22 or .17 in the hindquarters. (Note: rifle deer season closed last sunday here anyways, so it shouldnt have been shot at) Well, instead of dispatching the deer himself and letting it lay, or killing it and taking it home with him, he contacted the localgame warden. After the warden arrived, which wassoon (it was statehunting land). The warden humanely dispatched the deer and then offeredmy friend a carcass tag so he could take the deer home and clean it himself. Not only did he get to feelgood about not letting an injured animal struggle too long, he did not break the law, and he receiveda deer to bring home for some nice meat.
I just think this is an appropriatestory to sharebecause of all of our ethical debates.
