Anybody put a long barrel on there Contender?

First off I have two frames and three barrels. 30-30 357mag. and 22mag.

I'm looking for a gun for my daughter.

What I'm thinking of is getting a rifle length barrel and a custom thumbhole stock to make short enough for her. I was thinking of going with a 243. orabout a18"30-30 barrel if she can handle the kick.

Anybody got any thoughts? I aint never messed with a Contender any, just got them collecting dust in the closet.
