Congratulatons to to your son.. that's a fine looking buck. Seven years old to boot and already took two bucks. You are raising him well. As you said that load he is shooting is all that is needed at close range. And from the picture did the trick. I bet his Dad is proud as punch also, with good reason to be.
My nephew wanted to hunt this year but in Wisconsin they have to pass a hunter safety and then be of a certain age to even hunt. Also the first year I think it is they have to be with an adult which would not have been a problem. Next year will be his turn. I told him to pass hunter safety and to study hard in school, behave and get good grades, and I promised him I would take him deer hunting. Having the company will be fun.
Taking young people hunting and teaching them the right way to do things is one of the best foundations you can give a young person for the rest of what they will face in life. little-d I commend you for taking the time to teach your son the right way and for making the time to make sure he gets an opportunity. All too often in this busy world we see children ignored by their parents ... that is until the parents have to spend countless hours chasing after the child. Again congratulations to both of you.
