1st-plan on spending more time in the woods and make sure you have good cold weather gear.
2nd- Find places that either haven't been hit to hard or have good cover.
3rd i would say enjoy it, its my fav. time to hunt, you will usually have to the woods to yourself.
Plus i usually see more deer then i do in the reg. season
