Big Mature bucks don't get that way from being stupid. More than likely they're in the thick of things. I saw a biggin this fall 3 times bow hunting. Never was able to get close for a shot, as soon as gun season hit, and the lead started flying. He hasn't been seen since. All my neighbors saw him befor gun season, and none got him after, so I know he's still there, he knows where to hide,just gone nocturnal. If you want a mature buck, you gotta get in the thick stuff.
