It's still a 700 action, so its a good one! At least the older ones are! After the 710's, and 597's came out, all Remingtons quality has become suspect with me! Again, I admit I haven't handled the newer 700's. Also, having both laminated rifles, and composites, the laminates have a better feel to them!
