Default RE: ANOTHER black eye on bow hunters!

The title says it all. Right or wrong the ones who ultimately suffer are hunters who are having more land closed to them every year. The first post said nothing about this dog chasing deer. People should not let their dogs run loose. I don't know if I could shoot a dog, since I would be hard pressed to tell if it was a wild dog that had no owner or if it was a careless pet owner's dog that had no business being loose. All I know that in the mid-atlantic area it is exteremly difficult to find land to hunt on and I will do anything I can to not give hunters a bad name. I know I would be bummed if I lost permission to hunt on thetwo small farms I hunt on just because someone killed the owners dogwho happend to get out of their pens. The oldfarmer who owned the land I hunted on for 30 years told me someone once shot his horse with a shot gun. After the farmer died his land was sold and now that 300 acres is off limits to everyone, not because of that horse shooting, just because the new owners don't like hunters!
