Whats up guys,
This is the first year in a long time I get to hunt with my rifle. Its a Remington 700 30.06 BDL,(180gr shells) I've had the gun for about fifteen years. Ayway, the scope is a Burris 6x 24 signature and the thing is huge! It was on the gun when I bought it. So I shoot at a buck yesterday and he just looks around, I shoot again..he looks around again LOL.
It gets dark and I look at my scope and it is set to the highest mark on the large end, the deer was no more than 130 yards, is this why I missed, the gun should be still on.
Plus I know someone is ging to say you should have gone to the range but it was a last minute thing since its a new place to hunt.
I'm guessing the scope should be set at 100 yards for that shot right? Or am I just stupid?
Thanks for the help in advance.
