Jas you are obviously reading to much into what people's posts.
Most people said that they would have no problem shooting problem
dogs that run deer! The only reason I posted this story was because
the poor critter ventured 10 yrds. into the woods and got shot!
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG, if you ask me. Also if I see a dog let loose
to run deer,he will get stuck, a dog has 5 or 10 times the stamina that a deer
has.

G2 also has a good point.

BTW I have a G.S.P. and he has been known to run deer from time to time, but not further than 100 yrds.,when I have him under whistle. Thank goodness for how well my electric fence works, or he could be in the next county right now.
