i hate hunting without a dog, but when i was little i used to be the dog..... run up to the downed bird and look for feathers

.... but sometimes i like trying to be the dog... opening weekend was really dry and windy so the dogs couldnt smell birds 3 ft from them... it was tough..
one time we were hunting uncut milo and we downed and cock, so we surrounded it, and then all of the sudden i see the milo start to wiggle and itw/e it was was moving in my direction, so i got ready incase it was another bird, but it turned and ran down the row about 3 rows away, so i saw it and ran up to it and caught it.... everybody was wondering what the hell i was doing, but at least we got it..
