I mean I don't "bait" but how far off is it that I plant a field of Clover and BioLogic and place my stand right over it. Do I see anything unethical about it... Not really... It is legal...
You cant be serious.
Baiting is a selfish act that only benefits the unethical person doing it. Going to the effort of providing the entire deer herd with beneficial nutrition all year long is quite different. That is why it is legal to hunt next to a corn field but not over a pile of corn.
Why do you think that field of corn was put there? It wasn't for the deer, it wasso the farmer could make a living. Bottom line is you are waiting for a deer to come along and eat so you can shoot him whether it's bait or a field. If you have ever hunted next to a pond, dugout, river etc. waiting for them to come drink, well that's the same thing.
And why do people insist on calling hunters "unethical", "selfish", or even"poachers" when it is 100% legal in the area they are hunting. Let's not waste space by calling each other names. Let's debateif it is harmful or not to place bait for the purpose of hunting. If it's not harmful, then why are we debating it?? And let's remeber that just because you don't agree with someone doesn't make them wrong.
