Boy, this should get alot of responses, I personally have had no problems with being to cold, I feel, good food and proper conditioning, should not be any problems. I ran the mississippi flyway for years in central Illinois, and never had a problem, hunted from oct through feb, went from ducks, to canada's, to snows and blues. Had many, many icicles hanging off my young, or old dogs. Don't be afraid to get the dog out, and it walk around, probably do you both good.
