RE: TV "Unethical" shots
quartering to shots are highly effective if placed properly. I shot a doe a few weeks ago with this kind of shot and it took out the heart and both lungs, and she piled up 40 yards from shot, however, I do not recommend this shot to someone who shoots their bow a couple of times and goes hunting I shoot my bow 5-12 hours a week in the summer and shoot regularly during the season and am pretty accurate to 60 yards. To me a properly placed shot is acceptable, I've seen people wait for the perfect broadside shot and hit it in the gut, butt, etc and only wound the animal. Let me make it clear though , I don't really like to take a quartering shot, but if that is the only shot that I feel I'm going to get, I will try to pick out the perfect hair and drill it. Also, I don't like to see people using these gadgets like the draw lock(accidents waiting to happen!), it's taking away from our wonderful sport
