i never had it work either. it has worked well for will primos and his wallet i bet. at best under the right conditions hunting prime texas or milk river hunting spots it may cause enough concern amongs the 1 to 1 ratio bucks that they muight come in and have a look. in my hunting area a grunt call will send the deer running 50% of the time. i would only use a call if you see a deer heading away from you and you have no chance. if you call blindly you become the hunted and mostly i feel you may scare them off. i have only seen deer (does) come in running 2 times in 12 years of using calls. never had a buck come running in though. the can to me is just a big ole acorn. just toss it on the ground and the deer may come thinking its an acorn
