With sighting in anything (minus using a scope) andregardless ifit's a bow or a gun:

If you are adjusting the front sights (as with a bow) you follow the point of impact.

hitting high -move sights up
hitting low -move sights down
hitting left -move sights left
hitting right -move sightsright

If you are adjusting the rear sights you adjust in the opposite direction of the point of impact.

hitting low -move sights up
hitting left -move sights right
hitting right -move sightsleft
