Back in 1997 I shot a 7pt on state game land. I had started walking at daylight. At noon I shot a the buck. I thought I'd be out of the woods by 3 or 4pm. Well at 5:30 I left the deer lay on the trail. Went home called a friend to help me. We used a wheelbarrow to get the deer out. I later check the distance. I shot the deer 6 miles from my truck. I dragged it 4.5 miles. Itweighed 175lbs.
