It is absolutely your responsibility as a hunter to know and understand the rules and regulations regarding your intended prey and the means of takinggame. I don't know how else to say this.

I also hunt in a no-doe county in East Texas, and that regulation is there for a reason. Thedeer-car collisions mean nothingabout the deer population in the county you are hunting in.
