That would be an excellent choice for elk. I don,t think you could do better. I am a big fan of the X bullet. The 180 or 200 either one should work fine. Most any good bullet should suffice as the 300 Weatherby may is more that enough gun. One of my friends won,t use anything but the 340 Weatherby but he love pain.
