I invited a novice bowhunter 9/30 onto my farm for an afternoon hunt; set him upnear a woodland crabapple orchardwhere I had a doe "tied to a tree". He shot at adoe, saying he hit her high on her left side. We tracked her 250+ yds, looked more afterthe blood trail ran out, and finally gave up- no recovery ("HBNR").
Four days later, the (young) doe trippeda motion camerain a nearby wildlife cornfield plot(first pic). I got another photo of the doe 15 Oct, and she appears to be healing well... rare to get the feedback. My friend was surprised his shot was so high - I suggested maybe she jumped the string.
