I'm not sure about this but I think the newer ones have a longer riser with more laid back limbs. I couldn't tell you if there is a "feel" difference because I never shot an older one. I bet the newer ones are faster as well.

I have a 2004 model and like it. The new ones are VFT bows.

I don't believe they make the sandtrap bows anymore either. They come with a factory hush kit which consists of Simm's simular products on the string and limbs. Mine liked limb savers better though. I use both actually.
