I should have said 10/32 on both ends not 5/16ths.[/align][/align]The barrel is 26 inches. The ramrod is 22.5 with the jag in normal position. It is 24 inches in the 'extended' position. Breech plug, plus two pellets, plus shockwave is about, what, 4 inches.[/align][/align]I removed the forearm and it appears that the ramrod is inserted all the way to the receiver, but with the jag extended it is still extends past the end of the muzzle.[/align][/align]Is it safe to shoot with the ramrod protruding past the muzzle 1.5 inches?[/align][/align]Then I could shoot, pull the ramrod, and just reload without flipping the jag. [/align][/align]With my luck, if I set the rod beside me in a stand, it would fall and hit every rung on my ladder stand on the way to the ground. Nice and loud like. [/align]
