I don't think that there is much of a comparison lol. The 308 will have more recoil, but it is not at all an unpleasant round to shoot (being the choice of some of the MOST ACCURATE target shooters) and the 308 will give you a noticeable ballistic advantage. Good luck with the 308, I really do think that you will enjoy it.
