my alternative was to just keep shooting differant loads with differant bullets. until i found one that shot within an inch in a dirty or clean barrel. every rifle is differant but i tried sabots,patch & balls and finally settled with a pre-lubed 385 grain conical with 90 grains. 80 grains shot ok but the gun really liked the 90 grains with this load. the xtp's shot good but the clean-up was not worth the time. melted plastic in the barrel was not for me. patch and ball shot real well but the first shot was out a couple of inches. maybe if you keep trying you will luck on to one as i did. it may take time but i think you'll find one with all the differant choices available. good luck
