Default RE: Shockwaves out of my Knight Wolverine

Anyone that dismisses the lil Wolverine is an idiot. The first inline I bought was an original 22", Timney triggered Wolverine about 15 years ago. I shot 90 grains of Pyro in it with 250 Barnes for YEARS and anything inside of 150yds was GRAVEYARD DEAD!!! I even carried it on an elk hunt in The Gila in NM in 98. My brother was with me and laughed at me and couldn't believe I would take a $200 rifle on a elk hunt in the Gila. He had a brand new stainless/camo disc and all the bells and whistles. Hmmmmmmm he killed a 270" 6x6 and I killed a 368" 6x6 that is still in the outfitters brochure and on his website, lol he aint laughed since!

For whatever reason I put a 209 kit on the rifle and started using pellets with 250grn Red Hots (Barnes). The rifle didn't shoot any better (1.5" @ 100yds was what it always did). But what the heck, it didn't hurt anything. I only retired the rifle lastyear after buying a Savage smokeless. The rifle continues to sit in my safe today and if I were leaving tomorrow on a hunt that didn't allow my Savage, I wouldn't hesitate to carry my "lil wolverine that CAN"! In fact if I were going to buy a new Knight tomorrow and it wasn't the 52cal disc (I spent a weekend at a 500yd range in Cody, WY lastyear with a factory Knight rep, DAMN those things are sweet!) I would simply buy a 26" Wolverine. I don't think the other Knights are worth the extra money for no more performance gain. A 26", 209 Wolvie will shoot ANY load at long range that you want to.

On rare occasions the cheapest thing a maker builds their best and I believe this is one of them!
