electric fences on feeders
On the same lease for the last 4 years we have never had more than the usualproblems with cows until now. The cows have broken down the legs on 3 feeders and severly bent two of our barrels. After knocking the legs further apart they have learned to tickle the spinner with their tongueswhich results in loss of all the corn. They then have knocked the legs out so far that the brackets bend and make the feeders unusable. We have now put "T" posts at an angle and tied the legs to them but are unsure if this will slow these pesky devils down now that they are "into" our deercorn. We are considering putting electric fencing around the feeders and would appreciate any experience this forum has had with this. Thanks, griz
