I usually give away most of it - except for the tenderloins. I used my standard 130 grains of Pyrodex pellets, which shoots real well out of both the Omega and the Black Diamonds. MV is probablyover 2000 out of that long barrel.
As much as I enjoy hunting during Colorado's "primitive" season, it was kinda nice to have the 3 X 9 Leupold for a "last minute of legal hours" shot.
After the way the 300 gr. Shockwave performed last year, I would haveexpected to have found the 250 Shockwave just under the hide. This 250 Shockwave is starting to look like one excellent all round muzzleloading bullet - superb accuracy, great ballistic coefficient, light enough to go fast, and tough enough to shoot through an elk.
