I would probably get the .300 Win Mag just for the availability of factory ammunition. However, the .300 WSM is known to kick less and can develop more velocity in a shorter barrel. Could also be a better candidate for a shorter lighter rifle. .300 Weatherby doesn't interest me much either - an expensive alternative to a .300 Win Mag.
