I have both calibers mentioned.I haven't shot a deer with the 7mm Rem Mag yet.I do know the .270 Win will lay them low.I've shot enough with it to know what it can do with proper shot placement.Last year I did lose a nice Doe using the 270. I broke her shoulder and never did find her.For the most part it's hard to beat the 270 for Whitetails.Everybody has different opinions.But I do like the 270Win.....along with many other calibers available.....
