Crickie... That is a nice buck.. Certainly a unique rack, looks like a lot of nice mass to it too... I wouldn't chase him away from my deer stand...

Congrats on the Doe Rybo.. Didn't get out today at all, and it stormed most of the day anyways so it was a good thing I wa 100 miles away in suburbua visiting family... Again.

Shellbark, also know as Big Shagbark and king nut. Has thicker skinned nuts than Shagbark (Which is also called Shellbark and Scaly Bark) and has a larger number of leaflets (7 per pinnate vs 5)...It is a real pain because depending on where you live some of these hickories are called one thing and other places a whole nother.. There are like 5 different ones called pignut, some are highly palatable and others are bitter. Fun. I will be hunting that grove soon.. Well, not tomorrow, tomorrow I need to change the oil in the tractor, load a couple tons of scrap metal and so some more cleanup around the farm... Fun.. Really..
