jeramy, there is a nock installation tool. its a cheapo plastic thing that slides over the nock and has a ridge in there for the nocks groove. you just twist it in place with the tool and don't have to mangle it with pliers. i can't imagine they cost over $2. one of the arrow companies sends them with a dozen arrows but i can't remember who it is.
