I believe the area in the center of the shoulder blade is thinner. If I recall Dairy King posted a picture a few months ago of where a 4 blade stinger went through the center of the shoulder blade of a hog. Was a real good pic. I also believe a double lung/both shoulders shot would be extremely difficult to do on command on deer. It would take a specific quartering shot and alot of power. Now hogs have lungs farther forward and a little higher, would be alot easier on hogs...
