A couple years back I shot an 8pt that was quartering away. Went through both lungs and heart. It broke the far leg bone but that's where it stopped. I was shooting 78ftlbs of kinetic energy at the time. That was with a Spitfire though. I believe it's very possible that if I were using one of my Muzzys at the time , I would have had to pick it out of the dirt.
