I forgot to mention that where I hunt is open country and most shots are from 150 to 225 yards. The Mule deer there are big grain fed critters. I have shot several with the 280 with 120 grain Sierra Pro-Hunters. I have retired the 280 for a few years. Just felt like a change. ( not to much change though)
