I am guessing this guy is fairly old? Look at that body...any guesses on his age??
I'll be the first and take a chance on his age. This is a much better pic. He's not a 1 year old buck, but I don't think he's a mature buck. He lacks the mass to his neck, a sagging belly, and his horns have no mass. Certainly no older than 3 years old. Probably 2 years old.
I am the last person to shoot a young buck, but if you have bucks in this age class with browtines, why let this one breed? His antlers show no sign of injury to explain his lack of browtines. He is genetically inferior and easily identifiable. If you harvest him, pull his jawbone and let us know how he ages.
